Keep it in the family! Shawna & Jared were in touch with me about their wedding because I shot Shawna’s cousin Stephanie’s Dockside York ME wedding years ago! I love that Shawna’s mom remembered me and I was their first call! We had a great meet up at Epoch in Exeter and the next day later she emailed to say they’d love to book me. Yay! These two love travel, adventure, and antiques! (Wait til you see their Gatsby Themed New Year’s Eve Wedding!) But first – a little get together for their Amesbury Mass Engagement Session.
These two were up for anything, and I had just been doing so leisurely location scouting. (As in, I was trying to take the time to investigate a little if I drove by something that looked promising and keep it in my brain bank. (My brain bank is not FDIC insured)) Anyway, I had driven by this little tiny sign by this great bridge and decided to check it out. Deer Island is perfection. It’s everything I could have wanted it to be, and more! Connected by two bridges you can roam through the short but purposeful grove of trees and explore the rocky banks on one side and the sandy banks on the other. There was tall grass and we timed it just right for an amazing sunset.
