A lifelong dream, fulfilled!

Talk about clickbait… It’s not untrue, I did finally get to do something I’ve always wanted to do during these Boston MA Esplanade Family Photos, but I didn’t ultimately get a picture of it!

This marvelous family contacted me this past summer for some NH Family Photos last summer, and I was super excited to hear from them again! They truly believe in documenting their family!

This time they wanted to do photos in their backyard – Boston!

We decided to meet at Esplanade and I’m not going to lie, I was a little anxious. Heading to Boston for a leisurely adventure is one thing, but heading to Boston for work is one of those things that I’ll ultimately overthink and over prepare for.

Don’t get me wrong, I love city session, but I always feel like I have to have back up plans for my back up plans. I planned for a spot the closest place I knew of, but I lucked upon a spot just across the way.

And just across the Arthur Fiedler Footbridge.

Dude, I’m A DORK.

As a huge lover of classical music, I knew Arthur Fiedler conducted the Boston Pops for years, and that bridge always made me smile when we drove under it. (Even if it was really more of a slow ass Storrow Drive crawl sometime).

I’d always wanted to walk it.

And in order to get from my parking space to the Charles River, I had to!

I’d arrived in plenty of time to take a leisurely stroll, however, I also had spent an hour in the car very… well hydrated. So by the time I waited in the line 6 deep at Starbucks and got back to my car to get my cameras, I had less than 2 minutes to get over the bridge, so it was just hurry up and go time. Then the session took us back over the bridge, but I didn’t want to be all, wait #letmetakeaselfie for something that they literally do every day. (Though I did share my nerdcitement about the situation)

Maybe someday I’ll get my selfie, but until then, I’m so happy and excited about the Boston MA Esplanade Family Photos we got!

Also – Make way for Mardi Gras Ducklings!
