Oh, to be young—and not just young at heart.
Family sessions are my unofficial gym membership, and the sand? That’s my resistance training. But honestly, there’s nothing better than watching kids tear down the beach without a care in the world. These four cousins had that all-in, summer-vacation kind of joy that’s impossible to fake.
And their grandparents? Keeping up like total champs. They were right in the middle of the action—whether they meant to be or not—when a sneak-attack hug happened. (No one was harmed in the making of these photos)
Footbridge Beach Magic
Footbridge Beach in Ogunquit is one of those spots that always delivers. On this night, the tide was low, the light was perfect, and the sand under the bridge gave us a soft, glowing backdrop you just can’t order up.
Now that I’m staring down winter, I’m even more grateful for the stretch of golden evenings we had last summer. Here’s hoping this year serves up just as many.

Whatever snack or promise was dangled in front of these kids, it worked—because they were actually excited to be in photos together. That’s a rare and beautiful thing.
