NH Micro-Wedding at Bedrock Gardens

NH Micro-Wedding at Bedrock Gardens Color, connection, and everything that matters most.

When I hear NH Micro-Wedding, all I can think of is that fast-talking guy from the Micro Machines commercials.

Seriously — who decided this was a new kind of wedding? (I’ve been doing these forever, thankyouverymuch.)

No? Just me?

I’ll get over it. Because honestly, I don’t care what you call it as long as it has this much love, this much joy, and this much COLOR.

I’ve known the beautiful Honore for years now. She’s the genius behind the movement and merriment that is Jubilation Portsmouth. Our kids went to school and camp together, and she’s just one of those people you know you’re lucky to cross paths with.

So when she reached out and said she was planning her wedding around my schedule, I was floored and beyond honored. I knew it would be full of vibrant personality, creativity, and heart—and it absolutely was.

Let’s start with the shoes. Yes, the shoes came first. They were bright, bold, and full of flair, and the dress was chosen to match them—which honestly tells you everything you need to know.

The venue was Bedrock Gardens, a private property full of whimsy and wonder, owned by friends of her parents. It made the entire day feel personal, relaxed, and magical. Every corner had something unique to see, and it was the perfect match for Honore’s colorful energy.

The first look? Stunning. Emotional. Quietly overwhelming in the best way. The kind where you can feel the air change. And then watching her daughter walk her down the aisle? Cue the waterworks. Add in live music performed by the kids and their friends, and this whole ceremony was a masterclass in personal connection.

And listen, it wouldn’t be a proper wedding story without a little chaos.

The pizza delivery fell through—literally the one day they weren’t delivering—but a rockstar friend stepped in for a last-minute pickup. The cake? Also an adventure, with a forgotten layer that needed rescuing. And when the flowers weren’t what she envisioned? A grocery store bouquet came through like a champion. Honestly, all those “almosts” made the day even more endearing.

From heartfelt vows to communal laughter, garden strolls to spontaneous dance breaks, this celebration was a reminder that the best weddings are the ones that feel like you. The kind where imperfection makes it even better. The kind that don’t follow a playbook—they just follow love.

Ready to make your own kind of magic?

Let’s talk about your backyard bash, micro-wedding, pop-up elopement, or whatever name you want to give it. If it’s about love, joy, and a few unexpected twists? I’m all in.
