Important. But not essential.

I’m offering some ExtraAF specials

  • Purchase a gift certificate for any family session (mini or full) and you can donate a session (mini or full) to the front-liner of your choice, or just donate one by name or anonymously and I will see it gets a good home.
  • If you ARE a front-liner or if you’d like to just donate a session, I’ve special ExtraAF pricing for that.
  • These sessions are for locations within 30 minutes of Exeter, NH and include high resolution image files. They’re good for anytime in 2020 (to begin once the stay at home order is lifted.)

I’ve been thinking. And thinking. And thinking some more.

The bottom line is – Photos are important.

But they are not essential.

Important, but not essential. It’s a big difference.

Love will continue without photographs. Children will grow whether you take photos of it or not. Babies + pets are cute regardless. We’ll still be connected to the world around us, even if no one documents it.

We’re all together more than ever right now. Except those that are working to keep our communities running.

The medical personnel, the grocery, liquor & hardware store employees, the pharmacy workers.

They’re working long hours on ‘the front lines’. They’re getting up every day to go and take care of us, so we can stay the f*ck home and #flattenthecurve.

Every part of their jobs requires extra steps now. Extra gear, extra sanitization, extra precautions.

They’re giving ExtraAF a whole new meaning.

These folks giving all their extra right now deserve continued celebration, additional rejoicing and our eternal gratitude.

For me, as a photographer, celebration, rejoicing & gratitude involves creating images.

Images of these folks and their families.

Professional photos are on hold for now. But memories are not.

When we can all emerge from our homes.

When the bruises from PPE fade and the caustic smell of sanitizer no longer permeates our homes and businesses.

When we don’t have to cross the street to avoid people we know and love.

When we can see people outside of their Brady Bunch zoom boxes.

When that time comes, we will all rejoice.

We will all be grateful.

We will take photos.

And we better all take less for granted.
