My lifestyle sessions are designed to capture anything you might like. It doesn’t need to be limited to just a senior session or just a family session. Having a new baby? Family maternity sessions are wonderful! Is it your youngest’s first birthday? Make sure we get some photos with your older kids too! I want my session to represent what you want to capture in the time you have me. It’s not up to me to dictate what you want or how you want it!
I love when my clients are specific about knowing what they need, but open to figuring out what they want.
Jenny’s email was the perfect example of that:
“Hi Melissa, I started off needing a senior portrait for my oldest child, but knowing he has no interest doing a full photo session himself, I thought it might be a good time to get some family portraits done and tie it all together. I have 3 kids: 17, 6, and 5mo old. I’d ideally like some pics of the family and some shots of each of the kids individually, maybe the 3 kids together, or any combination of family members. I like the idea of maybe doing some photos outdoors and inside at our home, or maybe at a farm for some fall-type outdoorsy pics? I’m open to suggestions. I’d love to hear from you to see if you have ideas about coordinating this. Thanks! Jenny”
After a few quick emails clearing up some questions we decided on family pictures at Stratham Hill park where we’d make sure we got a few extra of the soon to be graduate for yearbook purposes and to make the extended family members happy.
Tristan was a great model, and an even greater big brother. Cole was Mr. Charm – full of ideas on poses and at the ready with that killer smile. And baby Hadley! First, I LOVE that name, and it so suits her. Unique and radiant. And a total snuggle bug 😉
We all had a blast and got a great assortment of shots. I’m most partial to the two of the three kids together. I just love how they all interact!
