Addison: 8 Days Old

I adore photographing newborns.  There’s so much love, and tenderness, and patience that goes into it.  It centers me. It calms me. It’s just such an intimate, beautiful process.

Ok, so I tend to get spit up on, peed on (or worse), cried on and generally sweaty since we make it so warm in the room for the babies to be comfy when their in various stages of undress.

But I wouldn’t have it any other way!  You’ll often hear me say – It’s not a complete shoot until I get something on my clothes.

Miss Addison was the most stunning little thing.  She had the same plump perfect roundness as my favorite “Baby Dear” book when I was little.  And oodles of dark hair!
