This little miss was a champion sleeper during her Rye NH Newborn Photography session.

Her parents told me she loved her sleep, but I’d had so many not so sleepy babies as of late, I thought maybe I’d made up this mythical creature that was the completely asleep newborn.

I had not, and she was perfect.

There was also a really great tiny space heater involved, which I may or may not have purchased to keep in my bag of tricks!

The whole session I wondered what was going on in her little dreams?

Sleep baby sleep
What are you waiting for?
The morning’s on its way
You know it’s only just a dream
Oh sleep baby sleep
I lie next to you
The beauty of this mess is that it brings me close to you

They had this beautiful sheep skin, which I thought was just an accessory, but when I went to use it for a photo, they told me it belonged to their families farm (or maybe a friends family farm) but that it would tickle people I had used it.

I’m so glad I picked it up!

Always always let me know if there’s something special you want to use in your newborn session! I will figure out how to incorporate it in a way that’s safe and adorable!

And speaking of adorable – I’m not a dog person – but their little pup hit me right in the feels. A mini goldichon – golden doodle mixed with bichon frise. It was like an Ewok… I’m not getting a dog, but if I did, she would be a contender!

At the end of the session we went outside with the gloriously in bloom magnolia tree. Every year that tree will bloom in correspondence with her birthday! #natureiscool
