Oh mylanta. Here’s a little back story on R + L and their Stevens Estate Covid Wedding! You book your dream wedding. All the Ts are crossed and the Is are dotted. You rock out your Exeter NH Fall Engagement photos. It’s less than 3 months to go time; and the pandemic hits.
Their June wedding became a September wedding. Then, the venue cancelled all events for the year. So they scrambled to find another venue, and man – I’m not sure about their original plan, but I can’t honestly think of a more suited location for these two Disney lovers. It’s an ode to castle, classical sprawling estate with history. And best of all, they had great pandemic protocol in place, a date available,
And the rest of the pieces fell into place!
In their engagement session, I wrote “They love each other, they love their family, and they LOVE Disney. When I asked them what three words they would use to describe their dream wedding, they answered Classical, Disney, and awesome.“
Well, even with everything they had to manage, it was the epitome of classical, Disney, awesome, and full of family and love.
One of my favorite memories from the day? They called their moms up at the start of the ceremony. ‘You were the ones to give us our first kiss when we were born, we’d like you to be our last kiss before we say I Do’.
It was so poignant and intentioned and gave me alll the feels.
As did all their Disney music. I don’t consider myself a ‘Disney Super Fan’ but hearing all the soundtracks of my childhood definitely transported me to a warm place full of happy memories and singing songs with my grandmother.
The day was really, truly, magical. The weather was sublime, the energy fantastic, and the cookies – to die for.
