That Two-Year-Old Stare.

Hampton NH Family Photos

Sometimes you can coerce your kids into a smile. Sometimes their older siblings can finagle one out of them. Other times I can make fart noises (with my mouth of course) and they’ll bust out a laugh. Sometimes, as is the case of these Hampton NH Family Photos, they’ll just stare at you like you’re THE least interesting thing on the planet.

When none of my tricks work, the smiles come in the viewing of the photos and the retelling of the story when he brings home a love interest. ‘Look at how much he didn’t smile at these photos. I mean he never stopped smiling at that age, until you brought out the camera’ you’ll recall.

Or you give him what he wants, the only thing he’ll accept… his mama.

Being two can be rough guys, sometimes you just need to be pissy about it.

(Also – watch for the smirk. He’s a tough nut to crack, but I was actually getting through to him, even though he mostly held the death stare the whole time)
